The International Fishery Congress would raise the issues of the strategic character

The President of the Association of the Primorye fishery industry companies, Dmitriy Glotov, and the Head of the Department for fishery of the Primorye territory Administration, Igor Uleyskiy, have held the press-conference, dedicated to the preparation for the First International Fishery Congress

Vladivostok for the third year in a row is becoming a unique communicative site for the fishermen, State power agencies and the science. The President of the Association of the Primorye fishery industry companies (APFIC), Dmitriy Glotov, and the Head of the Department for fishery of the Primorye territory Administration, Igor Uleyskiy, have told about the issues to be raised at the First International Fishery Congress.

The most important thing in this Congress is, that the fishermen are gathering together to discuss the problems of the fishing-industrial complex and for the joint search of the ways to solving them, believes the President of the APFIC, Dmitriy Glotov.

In his turn Igor Uleyskiy has noted, that the business community today has become more self-sufficient, the entrepreneurs are ready to adopt decisions, necessary for the fishery industry moving forward, are ready to require from the Power to legally approve these decisions. Thats why at the Congress there will be adopted the issues of the strategic character: development of the secondary processing, fighting the poaching and the structure of the international market of fish products.

Development of the secondary processing is the basis of the stable work of not only the whole fishery complex and of each enterprise, Dmitriy Glotov believes, - that is the food and economic security of the country. The main result of the secondary processing development there should be raising of both the State and commercial effectiveness of the Far-Eastern fishery industry performance. For the development of the fish-processing in

Russia there are new being formed favorable conditions, noted the APFIC President.

Poachers are the talk in the town of the fishery industry. They are inflicting a great economic damage to the economy of the country. To-day we understand, that this problem cant be solved by only the national joint efforts, - Dmitriy Glotov said. For the effective struggle against the poachers we must attract the foreign institutions and the structures. Our country has a great competitive advantage availability of stable marine living raw resources. Russian fishery companies should wisely organize the production chain: catching, processing and selling, then to present to the foreign consumers the guaranteed deliveries of both the raw and the ready fish food products. The search of the mutually advantageous solutions to this issue is another task standing in front of the Congress.

Its participation to the Congress there have confirmed twelve countries. There is expected a huge delegation from Iceland, which will be headed by the deputy general secretary of the Fishery Ministry, Ms.Arndis Steinsthordottir, the Congress will be attended also by delegations of Germany, South and North Korea, Japan, USA, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand,

China. There will arrive to the Congress the representatives of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia, of one of the organizers of the Congress, namely the deputy minister

Vladimir Izmailov and the deputy head of the Federal Agency for fishing, Serguey Podolyan.

The head of the Department for fishery of the Primorye territory Administration, Igor Uleyskiy, has noted, that as of to-day there are some three hundred applications to participate to the first International Fishery Congress.
