Japanese journalist made acquaintance with the APFICDuring a conversation with the APFIC Vice-President there were touched the main directions of the APFIC activities
The conversation of the APFIC Vice-President, Peter Churkin, with the correspondent of the Japanese edition "Nikkei", Motohiro Ikeda, took place to-day in the office of the Association. During the conversation the journalist was told about the main directions of the APFIC activities towards the strengthening of the Russian fishermen cooperation, bettering the normative basis of the fishery activities and combating the poachers. According to Peter Churkin, The interest of the Japanese edition towards the Russian fishermen activities is related, first of all, to the better situation with preserving the Russian marine living resources and, as a result, to the reduction of illegal deliveries of fishery products to the huge Japanese market".
