The Primorye Association of Fishing Enterprises was visited by a delegation from Maritime Research Institute, Republic of KoreaPresident of PAFE Georgy Martynov and First Vice-president of PAFE Aleksander Platonov management hold a meeting with representatives of Maritime Research Institute, Republic of Korea.
The purpose of visit was to study Primorye fishing industry and to establish contacts for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Representatives of the Korean delegation mentioned at the meeting that Maritime Research Institute is in charge of fishing matters and matters relating to port operations, transportation by sea, shipbuilding, fish products import and export regulation and environment. The institute believes that it can cooperate with Primorye fishing enterprises through investments into aquaculture and mariculture shore processing development.
President of PAFE Georgy Martynov told the guests about history and work of Primorye fisheries complex and emphasized that Association is always ready to assist Korean Maritime Research Institute in their search for reliable business partners.
First Vice-president of PAFE Aleksander Platonov asked the guests about governmental support of fishing industry in their country: “Our Primorye Association of Fishing Enterprises is now demanding for fuel cost compensation for Russian fishermen from government, and this is an urgent problem for the fishing community in our country. What are the preferences that Korean government offers to its fishermen?” The delegation members replied that governmental support of fishing business is rather strong in their country.
