Korean fishermen are ready for cooperation with the Russian fishery industrialistsThe Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by the Association of the Primorye fishery industry companies (APFIC) and the Asia Pacific Fisheries Trade Association (APFTA)
The development of relations in the sphere of fisheries, accomplishing joint projects, the APFIC participation to the annual Busan International Seafood & Fisheries EXPO - these issues have been discussed during the First International Fishery Congress by the APFIC President, Dmitriy Glotov and the APFRA President, Kim In Ken. Their meeting there has been ended with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, where the sides have come to an agreement on cooperation and exchange of experience in the sphere of fisheries. One of the Memorandum’s clause is: the development and exchange with the joint projects in the sphere of fish-protection culture, production and trade. That means the Korean fishermen are interested in the development of constructive relations with the representatives of the Russian fishery business and are ready to accept them at their market. One of the main goals of the APFIC and the APFTA is the development of the international trade in fish. The authorities of Busan are founding the Asia-Pacific fisheries trade organization, its activity aimed at the development of significance of the international trade in the sphere of fishery in the XXI century. The new organization and the concept of its activities will be supported by the Association of the Primorye fishery industry companies.
The Asia Pacific Fisheries Trade Association (APFTA) has been established in March, 2003 in the Republic of Korea. The basics of its work are the organization of the international information net of the fishery industry, modernization of the marine logistic schemes, etc. The organization is solving a great deal of tasks, related to revitalizing the activities of the world fishery industry complex.
