Primorye fishermen are opposing the taxation of hard currency payments instead of daily allowances.
It’s being told in the letter conveyed by the Association of Primorye fish industry companies to the Minister of Agriculture, Alexey Gordeyev.
The opinion of the fishing-industrial companies is, that the fiscal bodies are unjustifiably increasing the tax burden, claiming to charge with the united social tax the payments in hard currency instead of daily allowances. The practice of paying the daily allowances in hard currency has been adopted in
Russia since 1975, that is related to the special regime and conditions of the work at sea. The payments of hard currency to fishermen, being at sea abroad, were made similarly to the payment of daily allowances in business trips abroad, and as well as the daily allowances weren’t taxed at all. In case a similar happens, the profitability of the fishing-industrial enterprises, alas being in complicated situation, would have been decreased. As the additional stimuli for the fishermen to come out at sea would disappear.
